The Reverend Doctor Frederick P. Moser, Rector
The Rev. Frederick Moser is a native of Connecticut. He is a graduate of Connecticut College (BA ’75), the Yale Divinity School (MDiv ’79), and the Episcopal Divinity School (DMin 2004). He was ordained in the Diocese of Connecticut in 1981.

Prior to ordination he was an Assistant Chaplain at Carleton College in Northfield, MN (1977-1978); he also served St. Peter’s Church in Morristown, NJ as Youth and Education Assistant, and taught at Trinity School in New York City (1979-1981).

Before coming to Wayland he served as Associate Rector of St. Mary's Church in Manchester, CT (1981-1984), and Chaplain of Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, NY (1984-1994). His doctoral degree is in adult learning and development. He is married to the Rev. Kim Hardy, an Episcopal priest and musician; Fred and Kim have two daughters.

The Reverend Valerie Bailey Fischer
The Rev. Valerie Bailey Fischer is the assistant at the Church of the Holy Spirit. She is also the Protestant Chaplain at Framingham State College, a ministry of the Diocese of Massachusetts. She was ordained to the diaconate in June.

Valerie grew up in Philadelphia and attended Penn State University and is a 2004 graduate of Union Theological Seminary in New York. Valerie has worked for many years as a campus minister and youth minister, most recently at Framingham State College. While in seminary, Valerie worked at the Church of the Holy Apostles in New York and the Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen. After seminary, she worked for two years as the youth minister at the Parish of the Epiphany, Winchester.

Valerie has many stories from her other job experiences, including police reporter (in one of the safest cities in the US), weather service copy-editor (partly cloudy is not the same as partly sunny),  end user documentation consultant (no one reads my manuals, but everyone likes the pictures) and arcade attendant. Valerie lives in Boston with her husband Robert, and their two cats and a dog.

Daniel Ryan, Organist & Choir Director
Organist-Choir Director Daniel Ryan has served as a church musician for over twenty-five years, first as a boy chorister at St. Pius V Roman Catholic church in Lynn, Mass., then as organist and choir director at many churches in Massachusetts, including First Parish, Malden and St. James Church, Arlington.

He has served as an assisting organist at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul, Boston. Mr. Ryan received his musical education at Boston University as a cello major. He studied organ with Joseph Policelli and is the recipient of the Colleague and Associate certificates from the American Guild of Organists.

He is co-Artistic Director of Musicians of the Old Post Road, an award-winning period instrument ensemble, and has recorded for Meridian, Koch, and WGBH.
