Together Now Campaign


Together Now is a campaign to support the ongoing mission of Church of the Holy Spirit and the Diocese of Massachusetts. Like most of the parishes in our diocese, we are undertaking this capital campaign with help from consultants from the diocese. 70% of all funds raised through CHS will go directly to CHS to assist in the current needs of the parish. The remaining 30% will allow our church to grow across eastern Massachusetts and beyond by expanding some of our diocese's most successful and transformative ministries. SUPPORTING CHS The Together Now Campaign invites the support of parishioners and friends to meet our collective goals. Our efforts represent a continuum of obligation to do what so many others have done before us...we look to invest in Church of the Holy Spirit so that it may thrive for the next 50 years and beyond. After numerous discussions, Church of the Holy Spirit is proposing a dramatic recommitment to our faith through reinvestment in our church. Your commitment to support our community, mission, and this campaign will enable us to: · Make repairs to Church of the Holy Spirit, Exterior · Make repairs to Church of the Holy Spirit, Interior · Make repairs to our rectory · Replenish Church of the Holy Spirit resources. We are blessed to be a part of this historic faith community that has always been deeply connected to the surrounding Wayland community. Before us lies an opportunity to properly position Church of the Holy Spirit to ably serve future generations while joining together with all Episcopalians of eastern Massachusetts to do together what no single church can do alone.

PARTNERING WITH THE DIOCESE We will partner with our larger church by joining our diocese in a $20 million effort to expand its most successful programs across eastern Massachusetts: Tithing for mission beyond our diocese: $1.5 million fund to empower mission work outside our diocese and $500,000 to one or more of our current international partnerships Caring for God's creation: $1 million to expand Green Grant Initiative and $1 million to develop a complimentary Green Loan program Equipping congregations for strategic local mission: $3.5 million to Mission Hubs to expand Urban Resident, Life Together and B-SAFE/B-READY programs and the Leadership Development Initiative to build congregational life. $1 million to partner in founding a Mission Institute for training in areas such as congregational development, stewardship, and justice work Raising up new generations in faith and service: $5.5 million to furthering Life Together, young adult mission trips and campus ministry programs and $2 million to the Barbara C. Harris Camp and Conference Center Transforming our cathedral church: $4 million worth of renovations to the Cathedral to create a flexible and welcoming sanctuary
