Tim
Trussell-Smith is a Masters of Divinity (MDiv) student
at Andover Newton Theological School. With
his wife, April, he came to the Boston area from the
Southeast so they both could pursue graduate education. April
earned a Masters in English Literature from Brandeis
in May 2010.
Tim earned his B.A. from Mercer University in Macon, GA
(English and Theater) in 2006. During his final
year in college he served as the Christian Education and
Youth Ministry Coordinator at St. Paul's Episcopal
Church, Macon and as the Assistant Director of Appleton
Youth Ministries, an after-school program for
low-income, at-risk youth. Following graduation,
he worked as a high school teacher and (of all things) a
bartender.
After coming to Massachusetts, Tim served as the
Director of Religious Education at First Parish in
Dorchester (2009-2010). Tim is also fulfilling his
field education requirement as the seminarian at All
Saints Parish, Brookline during this 2011-2012 church
year and expects to complete his studies in December
2012 (fingers crossed). |
