We have a growing program of daily prayer here at Church of the Holy Spirit.  The Anglican tradition, of which the Episcopal Church is a part, has long emphasized a holistic spirituality in which all parts of life (work, rest, family, etc.) are seen as spiritual.  Praying the "daily office" is one way of living into that reality.  For centuries, Christians have found that their spirit is refreshed, their capacity for love deepened and their awareness of God's presence in their lives enlarged by incorporating set prayer into their days.   This is evidence by the fact that a daily cycle of prayer is a cornerstone of all Christian monastic communities.  At Church of the Holy Spirit, a growing number of our parishioners are exploring ways to integrate this practice into their own everyday lives.
