Godly Play, a Montessori-based method of teaching sacred stories and parables through play and wondering. We welcome children in preschool through fourth grade to join us for Godly Play from 10am-10:50 on many Sunday mornings throughout the year. At 10:50, the children join the rest of the congregation for communion.

Notes for Parents:

• Godly Play sessions start right at 10 am. Please help your children be on time. They won't want to miss a minute!
• The Godly Play circle is built slowly and lovingly, to welcome each child, one at a time. When children arrive, they wait outside the door while the Door Keeper helps them get ready to join the circle.
• Please say your goodbyes outside the door, and know that the teachers are ready to make the next hour a safe and welcoming time for every child.
• The teachers will lead the children back to the congregation just before communion, about 10:50.
• Keep in mind that children will not always be able to tell you what they learned, because what they learned was how to learn about the powerful language of the Christian people.
• Children will now always be able to show you a physical product for their "work" that day, because some of what they've learned cannot be put into words, even by adults.

On Sundays when the Godly Play class does not meet we encourage Godly Play aged children to attend the Holy Eucharist with their parents. Children are always welcome in CHS worship services.
