Our Youth Group program encourages integration of the Good News (Gospel) of God by learning and doing. As our youth expand their understanding of the Bible and God's word, we encourage hands on experiences as a way to help them mature their understanding of our faith and reaffirm their Baptismal promises, that include: proclaiming the Good News of God, serving Christ in all persons, loving your neighbor as yourself and respecting the dignity of every human being.

We work with grades 5 and up to be active participants in the
worship. Our youth are encouraged to read the scripture lessons, usher, acolyte, play
musical instruments and sing in the choir. If they are new to any of
these roles, we provide training and support. We have an active
youth hand bell choir that performs several times a year. The youth
actively participate during the annual Christmas pageant, as they
perform musical pieces, narrate, and assist the younger children in
their roles.
Each month we have a confirmation class and focus on the key
elements as recommended from our Diocese. Our youth are encouraged
to explore their growing spirituality through active participation
in worship and outreach programming. Planned activities throughout
the year such as Walk for Hunger and a youth led Spaghetti Dinner
fundraiser provide opportunity for them to help others and
experience the importance of stewardship first hand. Each year our
youth participate in "Thanksgiving on the Common" in which they
worship outdoors on Boston Common and share a meal with those less
fortunate.
Other planned activities include a hiking trip, canoeing trip, and visit to a food pantry; with more sure to be suggested by our active and mission-focused parish.

Our congregation willingly embraces our young people by supporting
their fundraising efforts and attending planned activities such as
the recent visit to the Planetarium and the Thanksgiving on the
Common. Our parishioners have shared their artistic and musical
talents and their passion for interfaith learning and environmental
stewardship with our young people.
We encourage anyone who has an interest, whether it be: art, hiking, music, or community outreach to contact Tammy Retalic so we can turn your interests into opportunities for our youth!
